Tromsø is a funny little place. Based on sheer numbers, it seems like the three core industries here are hairdresser, Thai massage parlors and driving schools. For 72,000 people, there’s just such a disproportionate number all in close proximity to one another. I’m not sure if maybe Norwegians are really pedantic with their hair, or if there’s a lot of pent up stress that constantly needs to be managed by firm-yet-gentle Thai women.
