Water is a universal element. It is vital, constant and ever-changing.

Fifty paintings were completed in five months across the span of several artist residencies in northern Europe - from the violent gales of Shetland to the calm ripples in the Finnish archipelago and the grey of the Baltic. Ten additional pieces were later completed in Melbourne from images taken from the Great Ocean Road, as a way to bring the series home.

These paintings explore the commonality of water and at the same time the differences and contrasts brought on by wind, weather and light.
