The drive back to Inverness was a longer drive compared to the last few days, and we decided to take the longer route via Loch Ness, just to tick it off our list. There isn't much to say about the place. The lake is huge but fairly nondescript, and the Loch Ness centre and nearby Nessieland was pretty terrible. Every country has their cringeworthy tourist traps and this is Scotland's. We didn't stay for long but continued the drive around the lake and to a few other falls and castle ruins that I'm already forgetting. Pro tip for future travels: skip Nessie you won't find it.
